Images of trees and leaves are layered, covered or obscured with a drawn figure walking through the landscape. The Last Stand attempts to question the larger narratives of life - decay, decline and fading.

"in-between" uses feet, legs and text to talk about a bi-national relationship. The feet caress each other, and look like puppets performing together in a playful way.

Even with a filter I manage to get the odd spam, which I find humorous. They are about “desire”, the desire to have something or be a something. This video is composed in the style of a notebook or journal, and attempts to be humorous.

'Tilly meets Anne amongst the sheep’, Dykeback Mountain is a lesbian re-appropriation of Brokeback Mountain. In this video sheep are a central theme, and they echo throughout the video (using re-videoed images of sheep). There is a romance between Tilly and Anne and it is told using inter-titles:

Foreign Body is an experimental video depicting a train journey, spliced fragmented body images and a soundtrack that takes you to other places. It talks about being a foreigner and circling around a city at a distance. It explores the tension between the two word title “foreign” and “body”.

Empty Vessels Download movie
Empty Vessels, 2 min, colour, 2003

Empty Vessels is centred around clothes on a clothesline and turns the act of clothes on the washing line into a sensual experience. The video moves through glimpses of clothes on her washing line. The images of clothes are close-up so that you can see the textures of the clothing. There are stills of pegs, and they act as markers like a silence in sound they’re a resting point. There is a chanting of the text that climaxes at the end of the video.

What is it like being Hepatitis C positive? This simple and succinct introspection was scribed with a rudimentary technology that itself echoes degradation and breakdown. An abstracted and scarred image for the cuts within.
