Empty Vessels, 2 min, colour, 2003
Empty Vessels is centred around clothes on a clothesline and turns the act of clothes on the washing line into a
sensual experience. The video moves through glimpses of clothes on her washing line.
The images of clothes are close-up so that you can see the textures of the clothing.
There are stills of pegs, and they act as markers like a silence in sound they’re a resting point.
There is a chanting of the text that climaxes at the end of the video.
